Frequently asked questions
Will you do a tutorial on [example]?
We do not take request. Request are always closed unless an admin makes a post asking for them, so please do not leave request in dm/comments! it will not be completed.
Do you already have a tutorial done for [example]/can you send me your post covering [example]?
Check out our tutorial compilation! You can find our tutorial compilation on back page. The document links all of our tutorials separated by program. We also have "guides" set up which might be easier to navigate, you can find guides on our Instagram near IGTV
How can I join the page/become an admin?
We have admin recruitments and you can enter in them for a chance to be a member! It’s the same as trying out for an editing group
What’s edify?
Edify is our group name. We are an editing group that runs a tutorial page! Our group account is @edifyunit [IG]
Can we receive help in direct message?
Our direct message is open to any editing support! We will eventually get to you and try to help best we can! Please make sure to clarify your program and what you need help with
I’m having trouble with a tutorial, can you help me?
If you have an urgent question about a tutorial, messaging the individual admin who posted it will get you a faster response than messaging the tutorial page! Usernames are always included in the caption
Who founded tutorialsu and when?
Our original page was created by kiazoi [IG], January 11th, 2017. The page was deleted at 46K
Our current page was created August 25th, 2019.
Do we give credit for tutorials?
Crediting is not required for tutorials unless stated otherwise! Credit is required for presets, overlays, and settings if stated.

The basics
How can I get after effects or Sony Vegas? Do I have to pay?
After effects and Sony Vegas do cost money, but a majority of the editing community does not pay due to the high prices. You can find multiple tutorials on YouTube, however, this comes with a risk! We do not provide links, as we do not want to be held accountable for any damages to your PC
Are there any good phone apps for free?
You can edit in video star, alight motion, and cutecut for free, but you will be very limited in what you do. Each of them have their own payment methods/prices and limits.
Can you teach me the basics of [program]?
Though we can, your best bet is youtube! You can find many high quality in depth beginner tutorials for every program. Our page is not directed towards beginners, and rather those who’ve already familiarized themselves with their program and want to expand their knowledge!

You can download a song and edit it yourself or you can use audios from other editors, just make sure to give credit!
